GENERAL PRACTITIONER
Bio – Elise Thibodeau (Tea-bow-dough)
I trained as a Family Doctor in Montreal, Canada, in the early 2000s, and have always appreciated the variety that general practice offers. My professional interests include aged care and dermatology. Throughout my career, I have primarily worked in general practice, but I’ve also gained valuable experience in rest homes, family planning, an aged care hospital unit, and as a Primary Care educator at both Otago University and the University of Sherbrooke.
In 2010, my husband and I moved to New Zealand, and we both quickly fell in love with the country. After living in the Wellington region for 12 years, we returned briefly to Canada before recently relocating to Christchurch so that my husband could pursue his career at the University of Canterbury.
As a family, we love exploring all that New Zealand has to offer. We enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time at the beach with our boogie boards.
I’m excited to be joining the team at Marshlands Family Health Centre and look forward to meeting you!
