GENERAL PRACTITIONER

I completed my medical training at the Radboud University of Nijmegen  in the Netherlands (2004) where I grew up. I specialised in Tropical medicine and International hygiene and left the Netherlands  to work  in rural South Africa. After this experience  I went back to The Netherlands and worked for several years in Emergency Medicine before coming to New Zealand in the year 2012

After 15 years in hospital medicine I decided to become a general practitioner and at the same time to continue my rural hospital work. I have been switching between general practice and rural hospital medicine for the past few years and enjoying the variety in both fields. In my free time I enjoy  surfing and spending time in the mountains.
