GENERAL PRACTITIONER
Before moving to New Zealand, I graduated from medical school in Cuba over 30 years ago. Since then, I have conducted research in Canada, worked in surgery in the United States, and practiced Family Medicine in Spain.
While I have had the opportunity to travel extensively, I had never been to Oceania.
Five years ago, seeking a new challenge, I relocated to Aotearoa with my family. Since arriving, I have been working in Urgent Care and General Practice in New Plymouth and Christchurch.
My areas of special interest include surgical procedures and neurological conditions.
I am fluent in English and French, speak basic German, and I am a native Spanish speaker.
Outside of work, I enjoy sports, particularly baseball and soccer, and have a passion for history, philosophy, music, and dancing. I bring professionalism, empathy, and curiosity to my practice.
