The Canterbury District Health Board has made changes to the way it funds certain consultations for people in your age group.
From 1st November people aged 18-20 years old may no longer qualify for funding that has previously covered certain consultations with your GP. Unfortunately this may mean that you are now charged for a consultation or a prescription when previously this cost has been covered by funding.
You may wish to look in to applying for a Community Services Card if you meet the criteria. If you are eligible you may be entitled to lower cost consultations in certain circumstances.
